Alumni
Through the years, thousands of students have left their
educational experience at DePaul School for Hearing and Speech with a sense of
purpose and determination to become active and productive participants in the
hearing and speaking world. Earlier generations of DePaul students primarily
attended the school throughout their entire elementary and secondary education.
Prior to 1971, many also resided at DePaul. In recent years, thanks to many
advances in medicine and assistive hearing technology, deaf/hard of hearing
children are beginning their educational experience as toddlers and
mainstreaming into traditional school settings at much younger ages - from
kindergarten to eighth grade.
