Preschool
As part of DePaul’s
Early Childhood Department, DePaul’s preschool includes children between the
ages of 3 and 5 may attend a full-day program five days a week.

The goal of the preschool program is to develop the oral language
skills, identified in the individual education plan of each child. This goal is achieved through a balanced
curriculum which provides intensive language instruction and age appropriate
experiences where young children practice and develop new skills through
meaningful play. Quality children’s
literature is integrated into the curriculum to enhance early literacy skills
and vocabulary development.

Each child receives individual speech
therapy 3 to 5 times a week.

Large group experiences include music and
movement, and a variety of circle time activities.
·
Children enrich their learning of concepts such
as colors, shapes, and letter recognition through engaging technology.
